Carla L. Hudson is a devoted public servant and long-time resident who deeply loves the Bellefontaine Neighbors community. Running for Ward 3 Alderperson in the April 7, 2026 municipal election, she is dedicated to championing accountability, transparency, and service for all neighbors.
EXPERIENCE & INTEGRITY
A RECORD OF SERVICE
Carla Hudson brings over eight years of experience in municipal government, having served within the Finance Department where she mastered the complexities of audits and budgeting. Her tenure involved working closely with executive staff to ensure fiscal accountability and operational transparency for the community.
An active leader, Carla has served as the Human Relations Commission Chair and is a member of the Urban League Federation of Block Units #1886. From her roles as a Lifetime Girl Scout and Secretary/Treasurer for the Black Caucus Foundation of Missouri to her previous leadership as a Regional Director for the St. Louis area PTA, Carla’s life is defined by service.

Policy & Efficiency
Carla is focused on revising outdated ordinances to ensure they serve today's residents. She will work to ensure every city department is properly funded and operates with maximum efficiency.
Community Safety
Safety is a priority. Carla will collaborate with residents to address problem properties and ensure our city employees and law enforcement have the support they need to keep Bellefontaine Neighbors safe.
